That has been the watch phrase for the past few days here at Factory Place.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 has been a constant source for my study of design. Hard to believe, but I find it indispensable. It's a matter of information, and the manner in which we can recontextualize and retransmit existing content. Focusing on design that specifically on the presentation of other artist's content, I find MST3k a good source of constant white noise, that keeps me engaged in the part of my brain that makes MST3k "work"

At UCLA I did present in a Graduate seminar on semiotics scenes from MST3k 802 - The Mole People - as an example of this very process. Was very successful in that.

in terms of photos, all you are going to get is yet another shot of the hall. I have no time to actually travel anywhere else to shoot at the moment.

I have been working fairly feverishly on rebuilding this site with Drupal. Which I am just on the cusp of launching in a couple days. Maybe even by the end of the Weekend, if we are lucky.

Insomnia in the Warehouse District never strikes me as all that solitary. Living across the street from several cold storage companies means the area only really gets jumping at night. Constant sound outside of the window keeps you company, even with the wife, cats, neighbors are asleep.

Among other things in the past couple months, I have neglected this space. I mean to amend that.
